Privacy Policy

Overview

This Privacy Policy describes how Mood Wars ("the App", "we", "us") collects and uses information when you use the App. Mood Wars does not require an account and does not collect your name, email, or other direct contact information. It does use a small number of third-party services, described below, to serve ads and keep the App stable.

Data Stored On Your Device

The App stores the following information locally on your device:

• Game progress, such as unlocked characters and win counts
• Your selected back-row lineup and game settings

This data never leaves your device unless you transfer it via iCloud backup (which is managed by Apple, not by us).

Advertising (Google AdMob)

Mood Wars shows ads through Google AdMob to support free play. To deliver and measure ads, the Google Mobile Ads SDK may collect:

• Device identifiers, such as your device's advertising identifier (IDFA)
• Coarse (IP-based) location, used to estimate your general region
• Advertising data, such as which ads you've been shown
• Product interaction data, such as ad taps and video views (for rewarded/interstitial ads)
• Performance data, such as app launch time and energy usage

This data is used for third-party ad delivery and measurement and may be linked to your device identity for that purpose. For more detail, see Google's Privacy Policy.

App Tracking Transparency

On iOS, Mood Wars will ask for your permission before using your device's advertising identifier to show tracking-based ads, in line with Apple's App Tracking Transparency framework. You can change your choice at any time in Settings > Privacy & Security > Tracking. If you decline, you'll still see ads, but they won't be personalized using cross-app tracking data.

Analytics & Crash Reporting (Google Firebase)

Mood Wars uses Firebase (Analytics, Crashlytics, and Performance Monitoring) to understand how the App is used and to fix bugs. This may collect:

• Product interaction data, such as screens viewed and features used
• Device identifiers, used to distinguish sessions and users in aggregate reporting
• Crash data, such as stack traces and device/OS state when the App crashes
• Performance data, such as launch time, hang rate, and energy use

Crash and performance data collected this way is used only to keep the App stable and is not used for advertising tracking across other apps. For more detail, see Google's Firebase Privacy and Security page.

Game Center (Online Multiplayer)

If you choose to play online, Mood Wars uses Apple's Game Center to match you with other players and to send game moves between devices during a match. When you use this feature:

• Your Game Center display name may be visible to your opponent.
• Game state (board positions and moves) is transmitted peer-to-peer through Game Center while a match is active.
• We do not store or log this data ourselves. Game Center is operated by Apple Inc. and is governed by Apple's Privacy Policy: https://www.apple.com/legal/privacy/.

Your Choices

• Limit ad tracking via Settings > Privacy & Security > Tracking on your device.
• Reset your advertising identifier at any time from the same Settings menu.
• Uninstalling the App removes all locally stored game data.

Children's Privacy

Mood Wars does not knowingly collect direct personal information (such as name or email) from children. Because the App uses advertising and analytics SDKs that can collect device identifiers, users under 13 (or the relevant age in their region) should use the App under the supervision of a parent or guardian, consistent with the App Store's age rating for the App.

Changes To This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Last updated" date. Continued use of the App after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
