Nudge — a home screen app for two people.

One of you taps Create a space, then shares the invite — a link or a QR code — with the other. They tap Join with an invite, open the link or scan the code, and you are connected. You only ever do this once.
Both of you need to be signed into iCloud on your iPhone, with iCloud Drive turned on, and you need two different iCloud accounts. Check Settings → your name → iCloud. An invite scanned on the same account that created it will not work.
Touch and hold an empty spot on your home screen, tap the + in the corner, search for Nudge, and pick small, medium or large. The widget fills in as soon as your partner sends something.
Open Nudge once and let it finish loading — that refreshes the widget. If it still looks stale, check that Background App Refresh is on in Settings → General → Background App Refresh, and that you have a network connection. iOS also decides how often widgets may refresh, so a few minutes of delay is normal.
Check Settings → Notifications → Nudge and make sure Allow Notifications is on. Notifications arrive when your partner sends you something, and before plans, birthdays and your anniversary.
Everything syncs through iCloud, so both phones need a connection. If something looks out of date, open the app and pull down to refresh, or close and reopen it. If a sync error keeps showing, email me and tell me what it says.
In your own iCloud account — nothing is stored on any server of mine. See the privacy policy for the detail.
Deleting the app from both phones removes the local copy. To remove the shared space itself, delete Nudge's data from Settings → your name → iCloud → Manage Account Storage. If you would like me to confirm nothing is left, just ask.
An iPhone on iOS 18 or later, signed into iCloud.
