Swoleheart

Privacy Policy

Effective 8 October 2026

The short version

Apple Health data

With your permission, Swoleheart reads active energy, exercise minutes, heart rate, workouts, your activity summary (including your Move goal) and your date of birth from Apple Health. It uses them to calculate XP, levels, ranks, streaks and workout insights, and your age to estimate your maximum heart rate for heart rate zones. When you record a workout in Swoleheart, it saves that workout (duration, distance, active energy and, for outdoor workouts, the route) to Apple Health.

All of this is processed on your iPhone and Apple Watch. Health data is never sent to us or to any third party, never used for advertising or marketing, and never sold. You can change or revoke access at any time in Settings › Health › Data Access & Devices.

Location and motion

Location is used only while you are recording an outdoor workout (run, walk, hike or ride) to measure distance, pace and your route. Motion data is used only while you record an indoor run or walk, to measure distance. Both are saved only as part of that workout in Apple Health. Swoleheart never tracks your location or motion outside an active workout.

Game Center leagues, records and crews

If you use leagues, Swoleheart submits your weekly XP score to Apple Game Center leaderboards. If you record outdoor runs, your best times for distances from 1 km to 100K are submitted to best-time leaderboards. Other players can see your Game Center display name and these scores.

Crew leagues show your Game Center friends. If you allow friends access, the app reads your Game Center friends list to show their scores next to yours. The list is only used inside the app and is never stored or shared by us. You can turn friends access off in Settings at any time.

Game Center is operated by Apple under Apple's Privacy Policy. You can stop sharing scores by signing out of Game Center in Settings.

Anonymous usage analytics (optional)

If you choose "Share Usage Data", Swoleheart sends anonymous app events to Google Analytics for Firebase, such as which tab you open, that you started or finished a workout (activity type only), that you viewed the Pro screen, or which Pro plan you bought. These events never include health or fitness values: no calories, heart rate, durations, distances, routes, XP or precise location. Firebase uses a random app instance identifier and may derive an approximate region from your IP address. The advertising identifier is not collected, ad storage and ad personalisation are disabled, and analytics stay off until you opt in. You can turn this off at any time in Profile › Privacy, which also resets the analytics data on your device. Google processes this data under the Firebase privacy terms.

Purchases

Swoleheart Pro is sold through Apple's App Store. Apple processes the payment; we never see your payment details. The app only checks with Apple whether your Pro purchase is active. You can manage or cancel subscriptions in Settings › your name › Subscriptions.
